Tutorial Tuesday: Autumn Trail Mix

A Fall Inspired Easy-Peasy Snack

Autumn Halloween Fall Trail Mix

The weather is getting cooler, so do you guys know what that means?  Less bikinis and more stretchy pants.  So, BRING ON THE SNACKS!

We have a deliciously easy snack for you guys this week.   In a few weeks we will do a baked trail mix, you know a recipe where you actually have to cook something, but today we wanted something easy.  You can throw this autumn trail mix snack together super fast and munch on it while sitting at home watching that upcoming football game, or while tailgating. Wreck Em' Tech.  You can even make this fall trail mix for your upcoming Halloween Party, have you seen our super cute Halloween party supplies? Or, throw the trail mix into your kids' lunch box as a special surprise.  I think I will be surprising my little one this week.  Actually, she will probably ask for it every day so I don't know that it will be much of a surprise.

So, the first thing you need to do is go SHOPPING!  Why is it that we love to shop everywhere but the grocery store?  I think it has to do with all the planning that goes into the actually shopping.  It is tough stuff just winging it at the grocery store.  So, here you go the planning is done for you.

Ingredients:

  • Reese Pieces or Peanut Butter M&Ms (we can stop right here who needs the rest)
  • Chocolate Chips
  • Caramel Chips
  • Raisins
  • Cinnamon Life Cereal or Cinnamon Toast Crunch (depends on the level of sweetness you want)
  • Optional: Dried Apple Slices

Fall Autumn Halloween Snack

Are you guys as excited as we are?  I mean the combination of chocolate, cinnamon, apple, and caramel just scream fall!

So, now that the hard part is over, the shopping, it is time to reward yourself with the tasty treat.  Of course, how much of each ingredient you add is totally your call.  But, what I would recommend is for every 2 cups of cereal you add a handful of each of rest of the ingredients.  But hey if you are craving chocolate, feel free to add two big handfuls of that good stuff.

Doesn't it look delicious?
