Magical Mystical Mermaid Party

A Little Under the Sea Fun!

With the weather getting warmer now is the perfect time to plan a mermaid party!  If you are lucky enough to have a pool, I am super jealous if that is the case, a mermaid themed party makes for one easy breezy beautiful party.  If you don't have a pool, that would be this family, this would be a fun theme to add some water games. I even listed one below for you guys.

When I was first putting together this collection, I gravitated towards the dark teal and purple colors for a mermaid party.  I wasn't loving it, I wanted a fresher spin.  Then we received a new inventory of tassel banners, when I saw the candy colored tassel banner and confetti balloons  from the Flair Exchange I was hooked.  The colors are so sweet and the fact that I can mix in lavender really helps pull together our mermaid theme.

Lovely, right?

Now, for the good part.  FOOD!

The mermaid cakes we found on Pinterest are phenomenal. Personally, I am terrified if the cake is too elaborate. How am I going to find a way to cut this cake and serve it to my guests?  I am definitely not skilled at cake cutting and would probably send the delicate top layer crashing to the ground. Eek!   This Ombre Seashell Cake from Sweet Pea is beautiful and looks like I could even manage slicing and serving this cake! What do you think?

Here are a few other fun treats for you guys. These Mermaid Tale Cupcakes are from the LittleBabyGarvin website and the Mermaid Rice Krispie Treats can be found at CupcakeNovelties Etsy Shop. I am personally a fan of both. I would never attempt to recreate the Rice Krispie's but the Mermaid Tale Cupcakes totally look like something I could manage.

And can we talk about these mermaid cookies from SugarySweetCookies? They fit our color scheme perfectly! I have never ordered from them before but I did notice on their website that they ship nationwide. If you don't have a local baker you might just have to check them out.

Now, bring on the mermaid games!

This seems like a super easy game to throw together, just line up your little mermaids in teams and have them move water or sand from one bucket to another.  Pails can easily be found at your local Dollar Store, Walmart, Target, or whatever store you have close by.  I found this game on the Tea Party Designs Website.

So, what do you think?  Do you see a Mermaid Party in your future?  Can I already start planning my daughters 5th Birthday?  It's in April...

-As Always- Make Memories, Be Joyous, and of course Sprinkle Some Happiness!

Much Love,

Brandi
